Pistola did, and we were in.
Our team along with Maya Pistola’s spent hours having brainstorming sessions, rounds of discussions, and team sit-downs on how to introduce and establish 100% Agave spirit, made from Wild Agave Americana that grows in India’s Deccan Plateau.
One thing was clear from the get-go, the bottle would have to stand out on a shelf next to top-brand whiskies and tequilas. The product would have to showcase itself as a craft spirit that is not just meant for shots but should also be savoured & appreciated as a slow drink.
And with that the legend of Maya Pistola was born, inspired by Mayahuel (Goddess of Tequila in Mexico).
The comic-style illustration tells the story of Maya’s journey across the globe from Mexico to the Indian Deccan, and the story of her rise, purity, and truth which is also meant to insinuate the rise of Agave spirit in the Indian market and the purity of the product.
